We have just released our new Web API. It’s based on industry-standard REST principles and allows your applications and devices to fully interact with MyWakes Platform through standard HTTP requests.
This Web API lets you to start and stop tracks, add points and query tracks data in any way users may need within your web applications or mobile App.
By managing consumers users can associate any entity (like a vehicle or a pet or a person or any other) to a tracking device. MyWakes permits to associate devices and consumers in a one-to-one correspondence.
It is possible to create users and let MyWakes to maintain them or keep users in your platform.
Almost all MyWakes functions can be performed using Rest Web API, from the creation of actions to the raising of alarms, and more other endpoints will coming soon.
Take a look at our detailed documentation; we have user guides and tutorials and full reference pages for each endpoint. We also have many useful code examples.
All Rest Web API documentation has been produced using the Open API specifications through swagger Rest 2.0 representation and tools: thanks to this choice you will be able to look at the Rest API documentation and test every endpoints (based on your Application Id execution’s permissions).
The best way to understand our developer’s platform is to get your Application Id and check out each endpoint.
Also many clients for some of the most popular languages and platforms are ready to be downloaded from our download page.
In the near future we will be adding more endpoints to the Rest Web API, giving developers access to yet more MyWakes data and functions.
Note: All the data that was returned by the Legacy Cloud API is available through the new Rest Web API. For now, the Legacy Cloud API endpoints are still available, but be aware that they will not be updated so we are encouraging everyone to move from old Legacy Web Api to new REST WEB API.
Stay tuned and enjoy the {Rest}!
